Privacy Policy
Effective September 14, 2026
VultLine is a business phone line service operated by Vult Media ("Vult Media", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information the VultLine iPhone app and the VultLine service collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We built VultLine so that a small business can run a professional phone number from an iPhone. To do that we have to process phone numbers, text messages, call records and voicemail on your behalf. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Information we collect
Account information. You sign in with your Apple ID. Apple sends us a stable account identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. We do not receive your Apple password.
Your business number. When you purchase a number we record the number, the country and area code you searched for, the name and caller ID you assign to it, and the settings you choose such as business hours, voicemail and quiet hours.
Messages, calls and voicemail. We store the text messages and pictures you send and receive through your VultLine number, the phone numbers involved, timestamps and delivery status. We store call records (caller, recipient, time, duration and outcome) and, if you enable voicemail, voicemail recordings and optional transcripts.
Contacts you create in VultLine. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, birthdays and notes that you or your team enter for a number's contacts. VultLine does not read your iPhone address book.
Team information. If you share a number, we record which accounts are members, their role, and who handled or was assigned a conversation.
Device and push information. A random device identifier, your app version, Apple push notification tokens, and a public encryption key generated on your device so message content can be encrypted for it.
Purchase information. Apple provides us with signed subscription transaction records (product, status, renewal and expiry dates) so we can keep your number active. We never see your payment card.
Technical logs. Our servers keep short lived operational logs (request identifiers, error codes, timestamps) needed to run and secure the service. These logs do not contain message text.
Crash and error reports. When the app crashes or something fails unexpectedly, the app, website and servers send an error report: the error and where it happened in our code, your device model, operating system and app version, and your VultLine account identifier. Error reports never include message text, call audio or your contacts. We do not use them for advertising or analytics profiles.
How we use information
- To deliver calls, text messages, pictures and voicemail to and from your number.
- To show your conversation history, contacts, call log and team activity across your devices.
- To send you push notifications about new messages, voicemail and reminders you set.
- To verify your subscription with Apple and keep your number provisioned.
- To prevent abuse, enforce sending limits, and comply with carrier and messaging rules.
- To respond to support requests you send us.
How messages are protected
Message text is encrypted at rest with a key that only your registered devices can unwrap. Our servers must briefly handle the plain text of each message in order to send it to the phone network and to deliver it to your devices and teammates; it is not stored in plain text once it has been encrypted for your devices. Pictures are stored encrypted in our storage and are only served to authenticated members of the number.
Push notifications for new messages include the sender name and a preview of the message so you can see what arrived without opening the app. These previews travel through Apple's push service. You can hide previews on the lock screen in iPhone Settings under Notifications, or turn off text alerts for a number inside VultLine.
Voicemail recordings and transcripts are produced by our telecom provider and are not encrypted with your device keys. Call audio is encrypted between your iPhone and our telecom provider using standard WebRTC encryption.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the providers needed to run the service:
- Telnyx carries your calls and text messages on the public telephone network. Telnyx receives the phone numbers, message content, pictures and call audio required to connect each call or message, and produces voicemail recordings and transcripts when you enable them.
- Convex hosts our backend and database in the United States.
- Apple handles sign in, subscriptions and push notification delivery.
- PostHog receives crash and error reports so we can find and fix problems.
We also share information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests from public authorities, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or as part of a merger or acquisition. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Your team
A VultLine number can be shared with teammates. Every member of a number can see that number's conversations, pictures, call history, voicemail, contacts and notes, and the name of the teammate who sent a message or handled a conversation. The owner of a number can add and remove members at any time.
How long we keep information
Messages, call records, voicemail and contacts are kept for as long as your number is active so your history stays available. Operational records such as rate limit events, webhook receipts and voicemail session records are deleted automatically on a rolling schedule of days to weeks.
If a number's subscription lapses and is not renewed within 60 days, the number is released from your account and may be reassigned to another customer. Its messages, call history and voicemail stay with your account until you delete your account in the app, which permanently removes them.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the VultLine app. Deleting your account releases the numbers you own, removes your messages, pictures, calls, voicemail, contacts, devices and team memberships from our systems, and signs out every device. Copies held by Telnyx are subject to Telnyx's own retention rules for carrier records.
Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions in the App Store or through Settings in the app.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can view and edit most information directly in the app. For anything else, email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
VultLine is a business service and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above. If a change materially reduces your rights we will notify you in the app before it takes effect.
